Product looks great and is very solid. Instructions were clear and assembly was easy. Only issue is the two piece rail takes a little time to get straight. I discovered there was a right and wrong way they connect, after that it went together well. I would recommend.

We installed a number of these sliding barn doors in our properties over the years. The earlier versions felt more solid because it was a single continuous 12' bar. This version splits the bar into two sections and while it is much easier to install it that way (you're holding a 6' length of bar vs. 12'), it does look aesthetically worse because you can see that the bar is two sections and it wasn't the easiest to make sure both sections were completely level so you don't visually see it bow or dip. Overall it's still a good product ... I just prefer the one continuous section better.

The bolt holes didn't fit our studs. We had to drill holes in the proper location. The door is on a basement wall to camouflage a storage area. It does the job nicely.

Some parts were missing. Otherwise, I was satisfied.

Overall. Quality product for the price point and still good looking. I wish the door guide was metal or was better designed for tile, but other than that I don’t have many complaints. Leveling the bar can be a little challenging solo since the bar is two piece but I’m sure that keeps shipping costs down. I included a picture. I moved the mounting points due to stud locations and drilled my own holes in the bar. This was a better option than drywall anchors due to the weight.

This is a project for sure. Closely follow hanging directions. Biggest issue is that the hanging holes on the rail are not slotted so they will most likely not align with your wall studs. We used a drill press to make new holes. Also we added an extra step and made 4 holes on the interior side of the door with a paddle bit for the hanging bolts so the bolts (and washer added)would sit recessed on the interior so as not to scrap door frame.

I felt the instructions could have been better, more thorough. For this reason, I gave a 4 star rating. There were modifications I needed to make for the hardware to work properly. But overall, it turned out great and am happy with the results. Sturdy enough to hold the 80 pound door created for the doorway.

Had to add 2x4 because my studs weren't every 16in but it gave it a cool look behind the black railing.Don't be concerned about adding the 2x4 because the rolling brackets can mount on the inside of the door or the outside. I preferred the outside to shot the hardware on the door.

Overall it works really pretty well. My only complaint is the instructions that come with it. Several of the measurements were pretty off and some important details were completely omitted. I felt like the measurement for the first screw hole was too far left and the rail needed to really be about another 1/4” higher than instructed. It would have been nice to have a single six foot rail, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I am an experienced DIYer and have many years of experience doing woodworking and household reno's but this project would have been more than most could handle. The sliding track doesn't account for having any door casings around the door opening which made the installation so much more complicated/difficult. I had to adjust every calculation and even then it ended up barely being capable of accounting for the additional height of the standard door casing. I had to chisel out two large notches on the casings for the track hardware bolts to pass through, and in order to account for the additional height of the door casing, I had to install the hardware to the door as high as possible which wasn't ideal and doesn't look the greatest. I also had to sawzal off a section of the rail bumper so it was in the correct position. In order to hit the 16 center studs, I had to drill additional holes in the rail since they were not predrilled at 16 centers. Overall, the rail system is good quality but each installation is going to come with it's own complications. If you're planning on leaving up your door casings, I would save yourself the trouble and use another track system.

Used on a lightweight door. Not sure how it would hold up with a solid heavy door. Our use was simple. Seems fine. We like the J design because it seems to be much stronger than not having that second surface to mount too compared to a regular strait design. Very inexpensive compared to competitors prices of similar design.

Works! Make sure you line up two pieces the first time...before installation. Good value!

Worked ok didn’t realize it was a 2 piece bar, but that was my fault for not reading everything. Anyways it’s obviously easier if it was a one piece, but just make sure you’re dead on because if it’s off the door will roll

The door track went up easily until we had to connect the center, it would not go together easily. Apparently some of the black paint had clumped in the connection and was blocking a good interlock. We put the bar between two pieces of wood to protect the finish then gave it a good wack and it broke off the excess paint and fit beautifully. Once up there is just a little bump where the track pieces meet but is so inconsequential that it is not an issue. The only other issue is the measurements in the package are shown from door opening but once installed looks a bit off center as if it should have been measured from door frame instead, not a big deal for the location but I will know better next time. Overall for the price it is a great buy.

Great for the price! 1) I wish the rod came in one piece Instead of two. 2) I wish it had a soft close option.

Came a day late and the instructions are a little difficult to read at times but all in all it’s alright. Can’t beat the price and it’s super sturdy. Perfect for a heavy door..

For the most part, this is a great kit. Having never installed one before, I trusted the dimensions they gave. Turned out the door touched the floor when done. Being that there is no adjustment, the only real option was to trim the bottom of the door.
